Mouse DPI Analyzer
Estimate your mouse DPI by moving it a measured physical distance. Use a ruler, choose a distance, start the test and move the mouse in a straight line.
Pointer Lock may hide the cursor during measurement. Press Esc to cancel.
How to measure mouse DPI online
DPI (often used interchangeably with CPI for mice) describes how many counts the sensor reports per inch of physical movement. This analyzer compares captured horizontal movement with the real distance you enter.
For the best result, disable pointer acceleration when possible, use a longer measured distance such as 10–20 cm, move slowly in a straight line and repeat the test several times. Pointer Lock with unadjusted movement is requested when the browser supports it.
Frequently asked questions
Is browser DPI measurement exact?+
It is an estimate. Operating-system scaling, browser behavior and pointer acceleration can affect movement values. Raw/unadjusted pointer movement improves the result when supported.
What distance should I use?+
A longer distance usually reduces measurement error. Ten to twenty centimeters is a practical starting range.
Is DPI the same as sensitivity?+
No. DPI is a mouse sensor setting, while sensitivity is a software multiplier used by the operating system or a game.
